One fundamental substance
Of which all things are made.
Existing as existence,
The unchanging and the change.
The universal essence;
Eternally it goes on.
In that it is all things
We may call it God.
Yet this is God or Nature.
Its not as the Bible says it was...
No inherent good or evil
It does not judge, it perseveres.
It does not speak to prophets;
No voices whispered in peoples ears.
He worked alone into the night
With logic as his tool
And in his heretical boldness
He helped bring about the new.
He rose against Authority
And said we can think free.
Reason over ancient text
To the Enlightenment, modernity.
We may call it God or Nature;
Energy, Matter and Light.
The One manifest as the many.
As the Earth, the stars and all life.
The universal essence;
