Paradise Lost

There was a time of paradise,
A garden green and pure.
Where lovers hugged,
And children played;
Spring in blossom, forever more.

But I did sin
In my neglect
That Eden may, in a moment, fail.
That in a moment
A stone may fall
Leaving hearts upon the floor.

But from where do we go from there?
Do we allow our lives destroyed?
Or do we fight the noble fight
So that our hearts might be restored.

Let me find you again, oh paradise
Let me feel your warm embrace
Let me swim in your magnificence
Let my heart sleep again, content

And so paradise should not be forsaken.
As paradise might one day be lost.
Let us treasure and preserve,
And fight for what we love the most.

There will be a time of paradise,
Where we will be reborn,
Where lovers hug,
And children play;
Where we may blossom, forever more.
